TGIF! 1. This polish went straight to my wishlist thee second I saw it on Nail Polish Wars . The purple flaky gorgeousness that is The Uptown needs to be mine... c/o Nail Polish Wars Polishes like this that just gloooow... Love.Them. I need more like this STAT! 2. September is just two days away, and I've been on the hunt for Fall polish collection for 2 weeks, now! YIKES! Where did this summer go? I've seriously been stalking the local drugstores for the Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear Rent the Runway collection. I'm also on the lookout for Pumpkin Polishes at RiteAid, Wet 'n Wild Tombstone polishes, the NYC Hero Collection, and the Fingerpaints Au Pair Collection. So, of course, when I went to WalMart yesterday, I happened upon 9 new Hard Candy polishes, instead. Go fig. 3. Ummm... Pretty Little Liars crazy reveAls anyone? Everyone and their mom saw CeCe Drake as Red Coat coming, but Ezra? Really?!? I'm glad I'm not too far into re-watching, because

CoverGirl Capitol Collection Nail Gloss Fall 2013

Could it be? CoverGirl's Catching Fire Capitol Collection? (Try saying that 5 times fast!) CoverGirl released a Catching Fire Capitol Collection commercial with some sneak previews of a few more Capitol Color Collection looks, and some of the alleged products. You can view the full commercial here . If we can trust what we see in the teaser commercial, it looks like there will be at least 9 polishes, if not one for each district for a total of 12. The commercial shows the polishes as CoverGirl Outlast Stay Brilliant Glosstinis, which are mini versions of their Outlast Stay Brilliant Nail Gloss. I'm not sure why, but it seems like CoverGirl is putting out their limited edition polish collections as Glosstinis, rather than full-size bottles. Less risky? Easier to package? Either way, it looks like a pretty decent range of shades, don't you think? Judging from the pic above, (which isn't tres clear,) it looks like the Capitol Collection features a bunch of fr

Fangirl Friday: 8.23.13

It's the end of another week... the beginning of another weekend, and I'm ready . Seriously, I thought this morning was Saturday, and was kinda sad when I figured out it was Friday. It's something that happens all too often on weekdays and not often enough on weekends. 1. Glitter... Nouveau Cheap is thee authority on drugstore beauty product releases and sightings. So, when this post came across my bloglovin ' feed... I swooned. Notgonnalie. c/o Nouveau Cheap TEN new glitter polishes for Fall 2013. T-E-N. I've already added 5 to my wishlist. I have no idea if I'll be strong when I see them in person. 2. GLITTER... Deborah Lippmann has 4.5 new glitter polishes coming out, and Scrangie has been sharing her gorgeous swatches. I say 4.5 because I'm not sure how to classify Fake It 'Til You Make It until I see it swatched, but I'm pretty sure I'll want it in my collection too. :) c/o Scrangie Ms. Lippmann just KNOWS how to

Milani Almond Bliss

This is one of 2 shades I recently found from the Milani Retro Glam Collection. I've been hunting for it at my regular CVS for over a month, and finally found it at the other one across town. Go figure! Hazelnut Coffee, Almond Bliss Nails Polishes Used: 1 Coat Beauty Secrets Ridge Filler 4 Coats Milani Almond Bliss 1 Coat Seche Vite I was excited when I finally found the Retro Glam collection from Milani. So, I picked up Almond Bliss, the shade pictured above, and Creamy Pistachio, a mint creme polish. I'm thinking of going back for Strawberry Shake, but I haven't decided for sure. Anyway. Almond Bliss found its way onto my radar because it was a pretty off-white cream color in the bottle. On my nails, however, it's a sort of pastel, chalky yellow color. It just looks... harsh. Really harsh. Formula-wise, this wasn't the most fun to apply. I had streaks with every coat, and in all honesty, the finish just isn't as smooth as I would

Layering: Berry Wrong

Have I ever mentioned how much I love jelly polishes? They're soooo versatile, and they do really cool things to the layers underneath them. Especially in manicures like this one... Polishes Used: 1 Coat Beauty Secrets Ridge Filler 1 Coat L'Oreal Berry Nice 2 Coats Hard Candy Mr. Wrong 1 Coat Sally Girl Gold Glitter 2 Coats L'Oreal Berry Nice 1 Coat Borghese Top Coat 1 Coat Seche Vite Berry Nice from L'Oreal completely transformed the colors in Mr. Wrong. Normally, Hard Candy's Mr. Wrong is an indigo-blurple and gold foil polish. It's pretty on its own, but add a thin layer of jelly purple underneath and 2 on top, and it's full-on purple and coppery rose-gold sparklefest. It's no secret that I loveLoveLOVE glitter, and Glitter Sandwiches are my FAVORITE kind of manicure. It's always fun to layer polishes together to create different and unique looks. Mr. Wrong would probably look really good layered with a couple of differen

Throwback Thursday *003*

It's a GLOback Throwback Thursday this week, brought to you by some of my favorite childhood toys... GLO Worms GLO Friends! GLO Spider, GLO Cricket, GLO Snail, GLO Bug I've read that these were meant to be finger puppets, but I never played with them that way. These little guys ranked right up there with Barbie for playtime, and even had their own house! c/o Hartsville, PA Unlisted The GLO Land Treehouse was a leafy hangout for every kind of GLO Friend. It came with 2 picnic tables, a see-saw, and 2 leaf-shaped chairs (not pictured) for all-inclusive GLO Comfort. The lake lit up, the swing played a tune, and the elevator transported GLO Worms upstairs. I think we sold mine at a yard sale a LONG time ago. I've seen some for over $100 on Ebay. Someone tell that Peanut of mine to never play with her toys... one day they'll be valuable, kid! Alas, Like I've mentioned before, it was the 80's and I played with my toys, because I didn't know that th

Zoya Back to School BOGO Sale

This is actually a pretty good deal. There's a limit of 6 free polishes, but still... buy 6 get 6 free? That's an awesome deal, no matter how you look at it! Check it out soon... The sale ends Sunday! They say that shipping may take a little longer, but I didn't experience much of a difference when I ordered during a BOGO sale. Happy Shopping !

Peanut: 10 Months

10 Months... Peanut has officially done as much time on the outside as she did on the inside... and she's come so far since then! So, 10 Things for 10 Months... and.here.we.go... RAWR! I'm gonna get you!!! 1. She reeeeally has trouble staying still. She's crawling all over the place, and she's gotten pretty fast. I'm constantly chasing her. How'd I get here? I'd rather not say... Hi, Mommy! 2. In addition to crawling, she's pulling herself up onto everything. It doesn't matter if she can barely reach up to grab it, it's 2 feet tall, or 6 inches off the ground. This little lady wants to be on her feet likerightnow! 3. She's liking protein more and more. So far, she's had chicken, beef, and turkey. But then we tried Mac 'n Cheese 'n Veggies and that was a HUGE hit. :) 4. She has turned into a Cheerio FIEND. Seriously. Anyone know a good program we can enroll her into? She SCREAMS for them. We're having

Sally Hansen Pink Sprinkle

I've been avoiding textured nail polishes. There. I said it. I'm admitting it, and I know I can't be the only one. Bueller? Bueller?!? BUT... I've FINALLY tried one... and I kinda like it. Polishes Used: 1 Coat Beauty Secrets Ridge Filler 3 Coats Sally Hansen Pink Sprinkle 1 Coat Borghese Clear 3 Coats Seche Vite Ooooooh. Shiiiiiiny. Is my inner crow showing? Let me tuck that back in. Pink Sprinkle is from Sally Hansen's Sugar Coat collection of textured nail polishes. A blend of sand-like particles mixed with pink and gold glitter in a pink jelly base give this polish a its sugary shine. Out of all the polishes in the 2nd Limited Edition Sugar Coat Collection, this is definitely the star. My sister purchased this polish for me after a long day of yard-saling last Saturday. We made a trip to Sally Beauty, where I couldn't find any polish I really wanted. So, we headed to CVS, and I picked out Pink Sprinkle. I'd seen som
