It's a total coincidence that it's Monday and I've got blue nails. And metallic blue nails, at that! While I can't say this is one of my favorite shades of the color, Blue Sensation does happen to be evoking a lot of nostalgia right now.

Waaaay back in the day when I was growing up, in the time of not pink and not red polishes hitting it big... metallic finishes were all the rage. Since then, the metallic finish has been perfected to the point of zero streaks and we've branched out beyond those first vampy metallics to softer, pastel metallics, and mid-tone hues like Blue Sensation.

Application was ah-mazing. If you're wondering why the slightly swirly metallic formula looks familiar... It's definitely the steely blue cousin of Pine Away, complete with shimmery silver goodness! I'm not gonna lie, it's not my favorite blue in the bottle, but I like it on my nails and I love this finish. I used three coats just to be sure that I had complete coverage over my yellowed nails, but I've heard for some, it's a one-coater! That should always inspire a little happy dance.

Blue Sensation is part of SinfulColors Class Act All Nighter Collection. You can find it on display at Walgreens and other mass retailers for $1.99 a bottle!
