Rainbow Honey La Isla Morada
Is there anything better than nail mail? My monthly mystery bag from Rainbow Honey arrived yesterday and it did nawt disappoint! No tricks, just treats all around!!!
I'm ignoring the fact that there's so much orange in the packaging. I mean, it is October, after all. I'm loving all the new scents that are coming out of Rainbow Honey right now. Whoever is in charge of putting their scents together does an ah-mazing job. I'm scent-sitive to some pretty random fragrance notes, but I've yet to have an issue with any of Rainbow Honey's scents.
But let's get back to the polish, shall we? La Isla Morada is the lovely purple shade in the lower right hand corner of my first collage using Layout for Instagram. Because I'm fancy and technologically awesome all at the same time. You can't really tell by the photo in the collage just how awesome La Isla Morada really is. But these photos should do the trick...
Polishes Used:
1 Coat Fingerpaints Smooth Over Ridge Filler
3 Coats Rainbow Honey La Isla Morada
2 Coats SinfulColors Clear Coat
2 Coats Seche Vite (with about 30-45 min between coats)
When I opened up my mystery bag from Rainbow Honey and saw La Isla Morada, I though it looked really fun and Halloweenish. Then I noticed the really warm pink sheen that turned the glitters all different colors. It needed to be on my nails tout de suite!
La Isla Morada is a mid-toned sheer purple jelly with a pink sheen and a lot of blue/purple/pink microshimmer. And just those three elements alone would've made a really cool polish. But Rainbow Honey didn't stop there. Medium black matte hex glitter, pearlescent white/silver square glitter, small holographic silver glitter, and pearlescent white/silver glitter shards. With each subsequent coat, the glitter in previous coats of La Isla Morada change from black to brown, and white to purple. This polish is seriously unlike anything in my collection.
And. I. Love. It.
