Color Club Beyond

Hey guys! I know it's been a little while, but fear not... I'm not going anywhere! In fact, I'm dipping my toes into some very foreign waters today. Foreign, sparkly, and... Holographic?!?!?!? ( I know!)

1 Coat Fingerpaints Smooth Over Ridge Filler
3 Coats Color Club Beyond
1 Coat SinfulColors Clear Coat
1 Coat Seche Vite

I'm pretty sure that I swore multiple times that it wasn't going to happen, but... it kinda happened. I mean, I wasn't really expecting it to happen, I was just watching a few videos online and before you know it... I'm ordering 5 of the OG Halo Hues from Color Club because that's clearly what dipping your toes in holographic waters means. Since I'm soooooo incredibly zerotoninetylikerightnow, I dove straight off the high dive, bikini and all.

Color Club Beyond is the holo to blame for all the other holos that are inevitably going to make their way into my collection now. It's a black linear holo with really strong flash. For those of you new to holos like me... holographic polish can either be linear or scattered. Linear means that you'll see the rainbow flame in a line on your nails. Scattered means that you'll see a rainbow of sparkles that changes every time you move your fingers. Flash refers to the vividness of the holographic sparkle.

In my swatches, I'm wearing 3 coats, but most people could comfortably get away with 2. I knew I was going to wear this for more than a day, though, so I went for that extra coat. And honestly, most of the time 3 coats just feels right.

The formula on Beyond is amazing, and I really like Color Club's brush. I don't have too many of their polishes, but it was soooo easy to get a super clean line by my cuticles. I can see me buying many, many more of their polishes in the future. I bought mine through HB Beauty Bar when they were having a 20% off sale, so that brought down the price a little bit. That's always cause for a happy dance!

One thing that I really love about Beyond is the difference in looks from Sunlight to Natural Light. In the shade, Beyond is an unassuming charcoal gray shimmer with a faint rainbow sparkle. Sunlight just makes the holographic sparkle explode against the charcoal gray. I probably should've bought a backup, because I can see myself reaching for this a LOT!

Now, the main reason I purchased Beyond was not to simply swatch it and throw it in my Helmer. First of all, my Helmers are both full and in need of reorganization. I thought classifying by color would work, and I just don't like it. Pretty sure what I really need are shelves. But anyway... back to Beyond, Angel's Kiss, Eternal Beauty, Harp On It, and Blue Heaven... I needed them to up my seriotype game. And honestly, it's been such a long time since I really tried out a new finish.

So.

There you have it. Seize the Sparkle has finally gone Holo. Sparklists, rejoice!
