Hard Candy Gummy Green

I've been in JellyLand for the past couple days, so I thought I'd switch it up a little bit...

Gummy Green is one of the brand-new Hard Candy polishes that came out this spring. It's part of the Candy Sprinkles collection... 9 different polishes with a finish that's supposed to (and does) look like sprinkles on icing. (Essentially a cupcake manicure all in one bottle.)

Polishes Used:

1 Coat Beauty Secrets Ridge Filler
4 Coats Hard Candy Gummy Green
1 Coat OPI Top Coat
1 Coat Seche Vite

I have to admit, I like that this manicure all came from one bottle. Layering manicures aren't for everyone, and this line of polishes give you a look that says complicated without all the effort! That being said, application was NOT flawless.

Hard Candy Gummy Green is LOADED with small glitter. Because the polish is so overloaded with glitter, it tends to be a bit goopy while applying. Also, the glitter does make the finish slightly bumpy. Even with a coat of top coat, I can see and feel the bumps of the glitter. I'd probably go with another coat or two of clear to really seal in the glitter next time.

Even with the slightly problematic formula... this is a look I love! It combines the cupcake nail trend with mint... Spring's must-have color. Gummy Green is totally uber-trendy. Hard Candy polishes are only available at Wal*Mart, and retail for $4 a bottle.

Do you own any Candy Sprinkles polishes from Hard Candy?
