Layering: Berry Shimmer
So I had this great idea for a layering mani last night. Since Heartbreaker made such a pretty effect... I found another Pure Ice polish that's pretty much the same, only in lavender instead of teal. I paired it with the pinkest polishes I own... OPI Conquist-adorable Color and Do You Think I'm Tex-Y?

This manicure turned out... interestingly. My pictures make it look like a much brighter pink than it really is. It turned into a very raspberry, sparkly, could be from the 80's kind of color. My pictures make it look like a really pretty layering!
Polishes Used:
1 Coat Beauty Secrets Ridge Filler
2 Coats OPI Conquist-adorable Color
2 Coats Pure Ice Busted
1 Coat OPI Do You Think I'm Tex-Y?
1 Coat OPI Top Coat
1 Coat Seche Vite
Meh.
That's how I feel about this layering. The purple base in Busted took Conquist-adorable Color and Do You Think I'm Tex-Y into 80's Raspberry Land. It's not a bad color... it just reminds me of a standard collection color that you would've found in the 80's. Maybe misplaced next to a bottle of Petite Nate?
For a second, I debated using a different polish to top off this layering. Sooooo should've trusted that instinct! I was actually surprised at the way this turned out. I thought I would like it much more that I actually do. I'll have to find a different way to incorporated Busted into a layering... if only OPI would make more "sorbet" polishes... hint, Hint, HINT!!!
