Happy Monday! Today's an exciting day because I'm kicking off my annual Holiday series... 12 Manicures of Christmas! And I've got a very cool Limited Edition polish to show you...
Polishes Used:
1 Coat Fingerpaints Smooth Over Ridge Filler
3 Coats Wet n Wild Holiday Spirits and Wine
1 Coat SinfulColors Clear Coat
1 Coat Seche Vite
Christmas and the whole Holiday season are by far my favorite time of year! Baking cookies, shopping for the perfect gifts, spending time with family, eating way too much amazing food, and of course, Holiday nail collections! This time of year, it's all about the sparkles and bling, so when I spotted this polish, not only did I know I had to have it, I had to buy it for my Secret Santa and feature it during the #12MOC.
Holiday Spirits and Wine is one of those shades that looks gorgeous in the bottle. On the nails? Magical! And the fact that it's from Wet n Wild is amazing, because it's insanely affordable! My first thought when I saw this shade? It looked like more like an indie offering than a mainstream available at the drugstore kind of brand. But then I remembered those first bottles of not red and not pink polish, and who did they come from?
Wet. N. Wild.
Holiday Spirits and Wine is an insanely pigmented sangria colored jelly that is absolutely loaded with holographic shimmer. In the shade, it looks like a warm pinkish gold almost glass fleck effect. Then in sunlight, the scattered holographic shimmer sparkles like crazy!
Application was so easy, this shade has a really nice formula! If the bottle looks familiar, it's because its identical to the bottles used for the Spoiled polish line, right down to Wet n Wild's Pro Manicurve brush. I used three coats for what you see in the photos, but I imagine that most people could get away with just two coats.
When it comes to my 12 Manicures of Christmas series, I recently realized that I tend to try and go overly complex with layerings, stamping, accent manis, or skittles. While those are a lot of fun to create, I think I sometimes forget that this is a busy time of year. Sometimes, you just want to be able to paint your nails from one bottle and be done with it! So, I'm going to try and mix it up a little bit and feature both kinds of manicures this year. Also, I think I missed a few days of this series last year, so I might end up featuring more than 12 manicure ideas.
What are some of your favorite Holiday manicures? Anything you'd like to see me try? Feel free to let me know in the comments!

Is this something currently out there in stores or something from the past? Looks similar to Zoya Payton, maybe lighter. WnW is so great, no kidding when you mentioned how they had other colors than red/pink, and heck yeah! Used to be the only way to get blue or green (and black lol)...
ReplyDeleteI definitely this time of year think glitter glitter glitter!! Looking at my Zoya board, I need to wear some of the really sparkly heavy glitter textures, perfect for holidays...
Thanks Arathael! This polish is currently in stores! I found it at CVS, sadly relegated to the bottom shelf. Online, I've seen these polishes as part of the "We're the Wildcats" collection, but the display I found was a little different. It had just two of each shade, but it was untouched, so maybe some stores are just getting them? I hope you find it!
DeleteThis is a pretty one indeed. Love the color and glittery effect. This is so perfect for the Holidays.
ReplyDeleteThanks Tricia! I just love how pigmented and saturated this shade is. I hope this is just one of many to come!!!
