Fishbowl Friday *028*

Every now and then, I sit down to pick my Fishbowl Friday prompt, and I actually want to tackle something really challenging. There's definitely a 10 Color prompt somewhere in the bowl. I was ready for it last night, me and my new set of OPI Color Paints... and then rather than pulling something incredibly challenging, I pulled 3 COLORS. So naturally, I followed that prompt suggestion liberally, using five colors from four different polishes. O.o

2 Coats OPI Pen & Pink

OPI Turquoise Aesthetic

OPI Purple Perspective

Max Factor Fantasy Fire 

2 Coats SinfulColors Clear Coat

1 Coat Seche Vite

Like I said, Before pulling this prompt, I knew I wanted to play with my Color Paints a little more. I picked out three colors from the collection, figuring I would do a 3 COLOR gradient. Simple enough, right?

This mani started out with two easy coats of Pen & Pink. I used Turquoise Aesthetic to create a gradient overtop. I thought I could create a darker gradient on the tip of my nails using Purple Perspective, but for all intensive purposes... it seems like Pen & Pink combined with Turquoise Aesthetic make Purple Perspective. Or a really similar shade. So, I added a little dab of Fantasy Fire at the tips for shimmer, and to make it look like it wasn't an intention two color gradient. 

I'm really liking how this turned out, and I'm excited to try more gradients using my Color Paints. I think one featuring the yellow, green, and blues of the collection would look awesome with a little bit of well-placed glitter or shimmer! While I'd love to jump into one of those tonight, I'm not sure if that will work out. I still have a lot to do in Studio Sparkle... like putting my 2nd Helmer together and figuring out how to best sort all my polish. I keep changing my mind! Wish me luck... and Happy Friday!
