Skittles: Neon Green/Gold/Chevrons

I know it's more than a couple days late, but here's my Pinterest Pick-A-Pin manicure. There was a little streaking on the chevron nail. I thought I waited long enough for the black to dry, but apparently I did not. But other than that, I love how this manicure turned out!

Polishes Used:

1 Coat Beauty Secrets Ridge Filler
China Glaze Treble Maker
SinfulColors Black on Black
SinfulColors Snow Me White
Zoya Tomoko
2 Coats SinfulColors Clear Coat
1 Coat Seche Vite

So, rather than actually give the nude/neon manicure a go, I completely changed my mind. Instead, I combined the first and second pins I posted about, to create this manicure. I remember seeing a pin that used a smaller chevron pattern in black and white as an accent nail for a turquoise mani, but somehow, it disappeared.

This was the first time that I used a tape guide on a freshly painted nail. Granted, I painted 2 coats of Snow Me White, topped it with a coat of Seche and waited for about 10 minutes. I put on my guide stickers, painted in the black, then held my breath and took off the stickers. None of the base polish came off! Woohoo!!!

While my chevrons tried their best to dry, I painted Treble Maker and Tomoko on my other nails. I was sure that I had given Black on Black enough time to dry, but apparently I did not. I'll have to try again and give it a little longer. There's seriously nothing better than a really clean, crisp, black and white accent nail. The smudges on my right hand are worse!

If my chevrons weren't so smudgey, I might consider leaving this on for another day. But I've got streaks and I'm definitely itching to take this off and start over on something else. Soooooo, to quote the 10th Doctor... Allons-y!
