Introducing... Seize the Sparkle 2.0

May 1st has officially arrived, and I'm really stoked to be taking part in another blogging challenge. This time around, it's Blog Every Day in May... just as simple as it sounds, one blog post per day for 31 days!

If you remember, I did the 31 Day Nail Art Challenge this past September. It was a lot of work, but also a lot of fun. Did I miss some days? Yep. I think I only finished a couple days into October, but it felt like a huge accomplishment to FINISH. So, I'm going to try my best to stick to the schedule with this challenge and see if I can keep up!

Who's with me?!?

The best part is, if you're not sure what to write about... there are prompts for every. single. day. of the challenge. Tres simple, and we all know how much I love a good prompt! Take a look...

Prompts BEDM15

It's seriously THAT easy.

So... where did this all come from? Well, I'm not the originator of this series by any means. My list of prompts comes from a compilation of a bunch of different prompts I found online, all mixed together. But since credit where credit is due is a really huge thing with me... Megnogged, Story of my Life, and Rosalilium all did this last year, and a lot of my information/inspiration came from them.

Rosalilium has actually been doing a Blog Every Day in May Challenge for 3 years running with prompts, a linkup, the works. Her prompts this year are a little different than mine, but similar, as mine are based on the system she created. I just tried to reorganize mine with my crazy schedule in mind. I've signed up over there as a participant though, and if you'd like to do the same... feel free! After all, the whooooole point behind all of this is to really get some creative juices flowing!!!

What do I hope to get out of #BEDM? Well, when Seize the Sparkle first started, it was a nail blog with other musings. I always knew that I wanted to branch out and write about other things. I just needed a little time to reconnect with me, and find that inner sparkle. Now... I'm ready to hit the ground running.

I'm hoping that this series will let you guys get to know me a little more. To put a little more of my personality out there. It's also a way for me to really get back to writing... which for me, is the thing that kicked off this whole blog in the first place. I've always been a writer. Always. It's been thee constant thing in my life whether through journaling, good, not-so-good, and downright angry poetry, short stories, novels, posts about my nails. It's just the way I express myself best.

And it's time that y'all got to read it.

There's a lot going on behind the scenes of this pixelated space. Things that I really want to share beyond my nails. Now, that doesn't mean my glittery little digits are going anywhere. Fear not! The plan is to supplement what I'm already doing without subtracting. And I'm seriously looking forward it!

Granted, there are going to be things that I won't ever share. Seize the Sparkle started out as a positive space for my head, and I really want to keep it that way. That doesn't mean that things won't get tough or real. It just means that I'll be doing my best to deal with all of that with a positive attitude. Because the best way to fight through adversity is to do it with positivity and a big, fat, smile on your face!

It's never too late to start over. You can always, always, try again. Today is what you make it, and for me... today marks the beginning of Seize the Sparkle 2.0...

Game. On.
